4 teens spend night in juvenile detention center after shooting people and a house with a BB gun, deputies say

Authorities are called after multiple reports of a person shooting a BB gun at people and a house.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received the call around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Once there, they learned the shots came from a group of teenagers in a silver Chevy Cavalier. Deputies also said they received reports that a house in the 100 block of South Street in Dover had about 15 yellow BB’s fired at it.

Later on a 13-year-old girl was walking on County Road 142 Southeast when she was shot multiple times in the arm and ribs. Another victim, a 19-year-old man was on his bike when he was shot in the back of the leg.

The father of the 13-year-old girl followed the car and sent photos of the car’s license plates to authorities.

Deputies were able to get a search warrant for a house in St. Charles, where they said the car was registered.

The search led to two 15 year olds, a 14 year old, and a 13 year old all spending the night in the juvenile detention center.
