Pine Island superintendent to step down, takes position with Rochester Public Schools

Pine Island’s school superintendent plans to step down in mid-August for a position with Rochester Schools.

Tammy Berg-Beniak has served as the head of Pine Island Schools for seven years. She is now expected to become the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction within the Rochester School District.

Berg-Beniak announced her decision in an email to colleagues.

Prior to her time in Pine Island, Berg-Beniak was a principal for Zumbrota Muzeppa schools for more than 15 years.
