UPDATE: New details in an accident that injured a man Wednesday night when a driver struck him while he was riding a mobility scooter.
Rochester police say 67-year-old Fred Glover was hurt in the accident at the corner of Broadway Avenue North and Civic Center Drive. It happened about 7:30 Wednesday evening.
Police say 28-year-old Melaney Jeffries was cited for failure to yield when she turned right on a red light hitting Glover. Glover was treated for a knee injury.
PREVIOUS STORY: Emergency crews transported an elderly man to an area hospital after a vehicle struck him on his mobility scooter Wednesday evening.
According to the Rochester Fire Department, it happened around 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Broadway Avenue North and Civic Center Drive.
RFD said that the car was going at a relatively slow speed.
The man complained of knee pain.
