Downtown Rochester goes to the dogs

There was a goodest boys convention Saturday in Downtown Rochester.

Yes, it was the return of the annual Dogs Downtown at Peace Plaza.

Dogs and their owners filled up downtown to enjoy in all the festivities of this canine-centric event.

There were plenty of tails wagging and eager dogs all in one area made for a paw-some time.

The rain didn’t put a damper on this event either, as live music, obstacle courses, photo booths, and tents filled with dog goodies kept the dog party alive.

"Yeah, he’s just 13 weeks, so he needed to socialize, that’s why we came down. The vendors are very thoughtful, very friendly, they have water and everything for the dogs if they need them, but I think the biggest take away has just been the socializing with other dogs, meeting some other people. So I think that’s probably been the home run for us," said Dogs Downtown participants, Jenny Noiles and Buddy the Good Boy.

Buddy and all the other good dogs had a blast… and their owners say they can’t wait for next year’s event.
