Vandals cause significant damage to home under construction near Rochester

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of residential vandalism.

It happened at a home under construction on the 3100 block of Serenity Lane Northeast, just east of Rochester.

The vandalism was reported Tuesday morning.

The vandals got in through the garage service door and trashed the house. The sheriff’s office says there are holes in drywall. Granite tiles, waiting to be installed, were smashed. Adhesive was spewed everywhere. A coffee cup was glued to a wall.

In all, the damage is estimated between $8,000 and $10,000.
