Authorities asking for help in search for Mason City man

MASON CITY, Iowa (FOX47) – Mason City Police is asking for help in locating 27-year-old Alonzo Higgins.

Alonzo was last seen boarding a bus to Minneapolis on October 1 and was supposed to be home on October 5th.

Higgins is autistic, so authorities are concerned for his welfare and is asking for anyone with information to call the police.

Authorities say he may be staying at a homeless shelter and may have participated in some type of church seminar.

He is described as 5’11”, and 170 pounds.
