Search underway for man and woman after stabbing at Pure Pleasure

STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (FOX 47) – An attempt to steal merchandise from an adult business ends in a stabbing and a search for two people.

Around 7 a.m. Wednesday, Olmsted County deputies were called to Pure Pleasure, just north of Stewartville on Highway 63. A man and woman had tried to leave the store, when they set off a theft alarm.

The man was called back to the counter, where he pulled a bottle of cologne out his pocket. When the cashier said he was calling law enforcement, the man took off and ran into the back parking lot.

The employee followed and started wrestling with the man. The sheriff’s office reports that during the scuffle,
the man pulled out a knife and stabbed the employee in the thigh. The victim lost a good amount of blood and was taken to Mayo Clinic – Saint Marys Hospital for treatment.

The man then ran to the front of the store where the woman was waiting in a car and the couple drove away.

The male suspect is described as a white man, about 5’9″ with brown hair. He has facial hair and a scruffy appearance. He wore a white t-shirt.

The woman is described as white, heavier set and has multi-colored hair.

Deputies hope to get surveillance video from inside store.
