Two arrested for drug possession in car

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – Police arrested two people after they were caught with drugs in a car.

Joshua Carlson, 30, and Misty Wenthold were arrested at a traffic stop.

Police said an officer recognized Wenthold in the car and knew she did not have a license.

Inside the car was also a passenger not wearing a seat belt.

According to police, Carlson gave a false name but police were able to figure out who he was. Carlson was reportedly wanted for arrest.

Carlson resisted the arrest causing police to use a taser on him to get the situation under control.

Investigators found potentially stolen mail in the car, along with meth, needles and drug paraphernalia.

Carlson and Wenthold are now facing fifth degree meth possession charges. Police said Carlson is also looking at obstruction charges for resisting arrest.
