ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – Governor Dayton’s staff says a 2nd back surgery at Mayo Clinic Saint Marys is a success.
It’s the governor’s second procedure in Rochester in less than a week. A news release from the governor’s staff states his doctors are pleased with Monday’s outcome.
The release goes on to say Gov. Dayton is resting comfortably and he will remain at Saint Marys for the next few days.
Friday’s surgery alleviated compression on his nerves, which will help his leg strength and balance. Dayton’s doctor recommended Monday’s follow-up to make sure the fusion completely heals.
In a statement before the Friday procedure, Dayton acknowledged he’d been having difficulties with leg strength, and occasionally, with balance.
