WINONA, Minn. (FOX 47) – The Winona Police Department responded to a call at the Winona Sr. High School Wednesday morning.
A student had reportedly contacted a school official and showed the official a video on Snapchat of another student making a reference to shooting up the school.
The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old male from Winona.
Officers took the teen to the Winona County Jail.
The teen is said to be referred to the Winona County Attorney’s Office for Threats of Violence.
The Winona Police Department said in a press release that the student who brought the video to the official’s attention did the right thing and was a key factor in providing a safe and quick solution to the incident.
