Man arrested after punching a pickup truck

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – A man was arrested Tuesday afternoon when he punched a pickup truck stopped in his path.

Rochester Police said the diver braked to avoid hitting 37-year-old Andrew Swanson who was in the middle of 14th St. NE. around 3 p.m.

Swanson jumped on the hood of a Chevy Silverado and punched the truck before getting off the vehicle and yelling at the driver.

When police arrived, Swanson ran away.

Swanson was arrested soon after. Officers said he was intoxicated.

He’s facing a first degree criminal damage to property charge and caused $1,600 in damage to the truck.
