ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – Police say an 11 year old girl is recovering from a broken arm after she was attacked by a dog on her way home from school.
It was reported on Monday evening around 6, although the attack allegedly happened about an hour earlier.
A Gage Elementary School student says she was walking near Gage East Apartments when a medium to large brownish-grey dog bit into her left arm, took her to the ground, and began shaking its head with its jaw still clenched.
She escaped to her home when the dog let go, and her parents called police.
Gold cross treated the girl’s broken arm before she was taken to the hospital.
Police say there was no significant blood or lacerations.
