Dodge Center man reflects on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ appearance

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) –  We told you Tuesday about a Dodge Center man making a run on the show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”

Tyler Coleman, a banker at Sterling State Bank and a father of three, ended Tuesday’s episode correctly answering the $30,000 question and using up all his lifelines.

The next episode aired Wednesday afternoon on FOX 47.

He incorrectly chose from a list of choices which day is not a day during the final week of Lent.

That means he walked away from the show winning $5,000.

Coleman tells us he filmed the show back in July 2018 and says it’s been hard keeping the results a secret.

He says he applied for the show online, and had to do a few Skype interviews before being called out to Las Vegas for filming.

Since the episode aired, he’s been explaining why he went for the $50,000 rather than walking away with $30,000.

“One of the things that I think is hard to understand is that though there was a show yesterday where I did a guess on the 30,000 dollar question and it worked out really well and everybody’s high fiving and all that kind of stuff, that today’s show was actually filmed about five minutes later,” Coleman said. “It’s not a whole day in between so you still have all the adrenaline from that.”

He says he and his wife will be putting the $5,000 toward a new mattress.
