We saw a beautiful spring day across southern Minnesota and northeastern Minnesota with temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s with pleasant sunshine. Clouds will build throughout the evening with a light south wind. Temperatures will fall into the mid 30s with a chance for light rain showers.
Scattered rain showers linger into Sunday morning and look to dissipate around Noon. Temperatures will warm into the upper 40s with mostly cloudy skies. While temperatures will be slightly cooler into the lower 40s on Monday, sunny skies will return. Tuesday will be a great day to get outside as temperature rise into the upper 40s with mostly sunny skies. Wednesday looks to be the best day of the week with highs in the mid 50s and partly sunny skies.
The second half of our work week looks to be on the soggy side thanks to our next chance for rain. Rain showers move in late Wednesday and look to last into Friday before wrapping up early Saturday. Temperatures remain in the upper 50s on Thursday with gusty south winds. Friday looks to have highs in the upper 40s with cooler highs in the lower 40s on Saturday.
The possibility for rain and temperatures consistently above freezing, water levels on the Mississippi will continue to grow, increase the risk for significant flooding for area towns along the river.
