Man jailed following third arrest this week

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – 40-year-old Justin Keltner is now facing felony theft charges after police say he stole hundreds from a hotel register early Thursday morning.

Employees at Guesthouse Inn and Suites noticed about $450 missing from the cash drawer during a shift change.

Police looked at surveillance video and say they spotted Keltner reach over the counter and taking cash around 5 a.m. He was arrested later in the morning at a Rochester motel.

Keltner was arrested twice Tuesday

Police say he stole a purse from a car parked at CenterStone Plaza hotel Tuesday afternoon. Keltner was booked and released.

He’s also accused of stealing a phone and wallet from an employee at Fresh Thyme Market at 9:30 p.m. that night. He was again booked and released shortly after that.

Police tell FOX 47 prosecutors are adding up this week’s total. It’s over a thousand dollars, and that’s how they can charge Keltner with felony theft.
