Bright and mild start to the week with a soggy midweek

With high pressure in control of the Upper Midwest, we saw pleasant sunshine across the region today. Tonight, we’ll see a few more clouds filter back in for the overnight with lows in the upper 29s and lower 30s.

Partly sunny skies continue into Monday with highs in the lower 50s. Scattered showers are possible early Tuesday morning with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 60s for the afternoon. A few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible overnight into Wednesday.

Our next storm system arrives for the midweek, bringing rain chances that last into Wednesday and Thursday before wrapping up Friday. Wednesday and Thursday could both see showers and thunderstorms throughout the day with the potential for a few isolated thunderstorms to become strong on Wednesday. Winds will be gusty with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Heavy rainfall may also be possible at times, stay tuned for further updates.

Scattered showers linger into Friday with strong winds and highs near 50 degrees. A more quiet weather pattern settles in for the weekend with mostly sunny skies highs in the mid 50s on Saturday. Sunday could see a few extra clouds with a slight chance for rain showers.
