Man thought he had warrant, arrested for meth possession instead

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) — A man turned himself into authorities, believing he had an active warrant.

But when he went to turn himself in, 36-year-old Chris Field discovered he didn’t actually have an active warrant, even though police say he thought he did.

However, Rochester Police did end up arresting Field on drug charges, after admitting to having a small amount of meth on him, before his arrest inside the Olmsted County Government Center.

The drug related arrest for Field, could now result in 5th degree controlled substance charges for less than a tenth of a gram of meth.
