PRESTON, Minn. (FOX 47) — Trout lovers flocked to Preston today for the annual Preston Trout Days Parade. The Preston community has hosted Trout Days for more than 30 years.
The weekend-long adventure includes a bevy of activities, including a breakfast, cookout, car/street rod show, and a parade.
With a giant trout helping lead the way, candy was tossed to kids lining the streets with eager faces.
“I mean, as a kid, I would have never guessed that I was going to plan Trout Days. It’s actually my birthday today, so in some senses I feel like I was born for this job, but it’s just it’s really fun and it’s fun to plan these events for the kids today and really see they’re having just as much fun as I did as a kid, so that’s really cool,” said Trout Days Coordinator, Gabby Kinneberg.
Trout Days is scheduled to end Sunday, with a golf tournament benefiting the Preston Chamber of Commerce.
