ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – This weekend, Early Childhood Family Services and Rochester Public Works teamed up for the 25th annual Transportation Fair.
The family friendly event held in Goose Egg Park allowed kids to take a close look at the machinery that clears snow from roads and even dress up like a MnDOT crew member.
They were able to explore community and law enforcement vehicles and meet the people who operate them.
And not just work vehicles, there were also some unique rides on display.
“I like the fair because of the hot air balloon.” said Hassan, who enjoyed himself at the fair.
“There’s lots of cool stuff, all over the place. We’re just excited to be here,” said parents Dustin and Callie Quillen, who brought their two kids to their first Transportation Fair. “She’s having a lot of fun. She’s anticipating going in the ambulance in a minute.”
The hot air balloon and ambulance proved to be the most popular, as well as the K9 officer.
