DAKOTA, Minn. (FOX 47) – A semi-truck crash in the westbound lanes of I-90 shut down traffic for several hours Friday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the truck with two trailers ran off the roadway just after 5 a.m. It hit the guardrail and eventually a concrete bridge railing. The impact separated the trailers. The truck and first trailer overturned on the interstate blocking the westbound lanes. The second trailer went over the bridge railing and landed on the right shoulder of Highway 61.
The truck driver was checked by EMS on scene for minor injuries but wasn’t taken to a hospital.
Traffic is back to normal in the area. The crash remains under investigation.
