ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – More than 25 food vendors opened Monday morning to crowds at Soldiers Field Park for Rochesterfest.
Despite initial drizzles, the sunshine came out right at noon and just in time for lunch.
This year’s theme is “A Magical Time,” and is encapsulated by the “Kids Magical Afternoon Party” taking place from 2 to 4 Monday afternoon near the playhouses.
This year’s chairperson, Kristine Ihrke, dressed as Snow White and plans to help the kids create their own magic wand.
“Sometimes people say that there’s not enough to do in our city,” Ihrke said. “And I always say there’s too much to do. You just have to look for it. And I think Rochesterfest can really share that-kind of highlight all the great things our city has to offer.”
New activities are planned for every day of the week.
