ST. PAUL, Minn. (KBJR) — Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has ordered United States and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff Tuesday at all state and federal buildings across Minnesota.
The order is in honor of Timothy McDonald, the pilot of the helicopter that crashed at Brainerd Airport on June 28th.
McDonald worked as a pilot for North Memorial Health Air Care for the past four years, and also served in the United States Army as an aviation warrant officer.
The flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sundown.
Flags were flown at half-staff last Wednesday for Debra Schott, who was also killed in the crash.
