ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – Olmsted county’s affordable housing wait list opened up this morning.
Program participants will pay a rent amount based on 30% of their annual income.
There are currently three townhome complexes with 30 units each accepting applicants in Rochester.
At least 40% of those admitted to the program must have extremely low income or an income at or below the federal poverty line.
New playgrounds are also in the works at all three complexes.
The housing redevelopment authority plans to add 300 applications to the waiting list.
