We’ve reached what looks to be the best weather day of the week, especially if you’re not particularly fond of heat and humidity. That’s thanks to high pressure that is sliding into the region from Canada, providing us with tons of sunshine, a crisp, dry north breeze, and mild temperatures. Look for afternoon temperatures readings in the upper 70s in most spots around the area which is a few degrees below the seasonal average.
After a cool, comfortable Thursday night, warmer, more humid air will begin to works its way in for Friday on a southwest breeze. We’ll have plenty of warm sunshine tomorrow that will help temperatures reach the mid-80s and heat indices will approach the lower 90s. A weak cold front from the northwest will bring a slight chance of thunderstorms by the early evening hours, but most of us will miss out on those, instead remaining warm and muggy through the evening.
Sunshine will hang around for most of the weekend with only a few scattered thunderstorms possible on Sunday. High temperatures for both Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid-80s.
Next week is looking even warmer with only a few rain chances. We’ll have high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees Monday and Tuesday with mid to upper 80s later in the week. There will be a chance of scattered thunderstorms Tuesday with only slight chances next Wednesday and Friday.
