Security guard reports being chased by a man with a cane, suspect arrested

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – A man faces assault charges after police said he was told to leave a public space he was sleeping in.

Police said that Premier Security called them around 4 a.m. on Sunday.

Guards said that’s when Abikar came back with a cane after being kicked out earlier that night.

He was arrested after chasing the guard with a cane, according to police.

Police said it happened at 19 2nd street Southeast, the First Street Parking Ramp in downtown Rochester.

Officers believe that Abikar is homeless in Rochester.

There were no reported injuries from the incident.
