A low-pressure system moving through Iowa right now brought the area some late afternoon scattered showers. The moisture associated with this low-pressure system will remain in the area overnight tonight and tomorrow afternoon.
The remainder of our evening will be mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers. Temperatures will be near 70. Overnight lows will be in the lower 60’s, and there is also a small chance for an isolated storm to pass through the area.
Tomorrow will be another grey day with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 70’s. Another system moves in from the northwest increasing our rain chances tomorrow afternoon and evening. There is a chance for isolated to widely scattered showers and maybe an afternoon storm as well. Tomorrow will not be a complete washout, just a few pop-up showers here and there.
Finally, we get a break from the wet and dreary weather on Wednesday and Thursday. Highs for both days will be in the mid-70’s. Wednesday will have some sunshine with mostly cloudy skies, but on Thursday there will be more sunshine.
Friday is the beginning of weekend rain chances. Highs for Friday will be inching up into the upper 70’s. There is a slight chance of an afternoon isolated shower on Friday. Saturday and Sunday will be increasing in temperature as well. Highs will be in the mid-80’s with a chance for some isolated storms possible during the heat of the day. Fortunately, next week starts off-dry with some more sunshine.
