We are dealing with areas of patchy to dense fog across the region, especially in low lying and valley locations. Fog will last through the morning commute, before lifting by the mid morning, so plan for a slower drive into work today. Today, we’ll enjoy a beautiful day with partly sunny skies, comfortable dew points, and seasonable temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will be light out of the southwest at 3-8 mph.
Clouds will increase this evening, as out next storm system approaches our area. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move in after 10 pm, lasting into Friday morning’s commute. Overnight lows will be in the lower 60s with a light west wind at 5-10 mph.
A few scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible for early Friday, with a little clearing in the clouds may be possible for the afternoon; severe weather is not expected. Highs will be in the upper 70s. Periodic isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the weekend with high in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
A dry stretch of weather is possible for early next week, along with the return of some summer heat plus increasing humidity. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s Monday through Wednesday with mostly to partly sunny skies.
