ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – Olmsted County Deputies have arrested a second person they believe to be connected to the murder of Garad Hassan Roble in early March.
30-year-old Muhidin Omar Abukar faces charges of aiding an offender-2nd degree murder.
His arraignment was scheduled at 10:30 Thursday morning.
Abukar has a previous murder conviction from a Rochester shooting in 2009 as well as several other violent offences.
Deputies say he was arrested at the government center around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon when he came to meet his parole officer.
Investigators believe that Abukar worked with 23-year-old Ayub Iman in the murder of Roble.
He is also facing 2nd degree murder charges.
The County Attorney says the latest arrest is the culmination of months of investigation.
