Mayo Clinic announces partnership with Google

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) — Mayo Clinic has announced its plan to begin a 10-year partnership with Google for more data-driven patient services.

A news release from Mayo Clinic states that it “Selected Google Cloud to be the cornerstone of its digital transformation.”

The goal is to combine medical knowledge with digital technology in order to deliver more efficient medical care.

The news release also states that “Google Cloud will secure and store Mayo Clinic’s data, while working with Mayo Clinic to apply artificial intelligence (AI) and other cloud computing technologies to solve complex health care problems.”

More information will be available after a news conference in the Mayo Clinic Gonda Building this afternoon.
