ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) – Inside the Lines is back, and this time we’re taking you inside the gridiron! For the next several weeks local athletes will be teaching sports anchor, Naomi Grey all the skills and drills it takes to be one of the gridiron’s finest!
This week she checked into Lourdes High School to get some work in with Eagles Quarterback, Nolan Jurgenson. The junior starting quarterback led her through a warm up and two key drills.
- Three Step Drop– One of the three passing drops performed by a quarterback following the snap. The three-step drop is ideal when a team is trying to execute a quick passing play.
- Roll Out- This technique is also used during most passing plays. A roll out is the action of the quarterback moving outside the pocket prior to executing a passing play.
