ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) — Rochester City Council members are amending the city’s seasonal parking ordinance to allow seasonal alternate side parking restriction in the bulb of cul-de-sacs. This change comes from from Monday’s city council meeting.
Just like with other types of streets, parking will be allowed on the side of the street with even house numbers when the calendar date is even, and the side of the street with odd house numbers when the calendar date is odd.
This change will not go into effect until November.
The city will provide educational postcards to inform the community before tickets are handed out. There will also be street signage on major streets.
All of Rochester’s seasonal parking restrictions will remain in effect until May 1.
