Trailer and tools worth $20k stolen from Stewartville construction site

STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (FOX47) — A trailer and the tools inside worth about $20,000 were stolen from a Stewartville new home construction site.

The trailer was worth $5,000 and the tools inside were worth $15,000, authorities said.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a 2017 Tandem Axle trailer was taken from 5200 block of Millie Road Southwest.

The theft happened between 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. on Monday, deputies said.

The owner put out a picture on Facebook, and on Monday a storage unit facility called the owner, saying the trailer was parked at their location in Stewartville.

Deputies said while the trailer was found, the tools inside were gone.

Authorities said someone drilled out the locks and took everything out.
