STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (FOX47) – Three arrests were made after a department of corrections warrant was served in Stewartville.
By the end of the operation, more than a pound of meth was recovered.
Olmsted County deputies said they were looking for Berndt because of a parole violation, and Siegele for a felony drug warrant.
They were conducting surveillance at a home in Stewartville around 1 Wednesday afternoon when they saw Berndt come out of a church parking lot.
When deputies approached Berndt, he dropped items he was carrying and ran with a bag in his hands.
Deputies caught up with him, and found two bags of meth inside the bag Berndt was running with.
The total weight was about 1.25 pounds.
A search warrant was obtained for the home, where deputies found more meth inside.
It was discovered that five children under the age of ten live at the home, but they were not there at the time of the search.
The mother of the children, Alyssa Larson, was later arrested in Stewartville and faces child endangerment charges.
