Arctic air pushes in for the start of the work week

We enjoyed one last day with temperatures above freezing in the mid 30s today. This evening, we’ll continue to see a few snow flurries around the area before midnight. Overnight, temperatures will be rather chilly, dipping back into the lower teens with mostly cloudy skies. Winds will be light out of the north between 5-10 mph.

We’ll get our first real taste of winter this week as Monday and Tuesday’s high temperatures only manage the upper teens. Winds will be breezy during the day, resulting in winds chills in the single digits on either side of zero. Make sure to really bundle up the next couple days as the sunshine will look rather deceiving.

Our next chance for accumulating snow looks to be Wednesday evening. Temperatures will be on the rise into the upper 20s for highs with mostly cloudy skies. Afternoon highs climb back into the 30s for the late week with partly sunny skies on Thursday. Mid 30s are possible by Friday and Saturday, making conditions feel more seasonal.
