Sheriff’s Office: Missing Rushford man found safe

UPDATE 11:12 a.m.: Travis Jonsgaard has been located safe, according to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office. According to Captain Scott Behrns, the Sheriff's Office are not at liberty to say where he was located, but his location has been confirmed


ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX47) -- Authorities in Olmsted County are seeking the public's help in finding a man who was reported missing on Monday.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Travis Jonsgaard last had contact with his family on Nov. 30 when he texted them suicidal messages.

Authorities said he is from Rushford, and was staying in Rochester at 6300 Saint Bridges Road SE at the time.

Deputies said he was reported missing on Monday, and they checked the Rochester address and found his 2004 Black Jeep Grand Cherokee with license number 591NRX. When they checked again later, the vehicle was gone.

Authorities said he is 5'11 and is about 160 pounds.

Authorities have asked that if you have seen him or his vehicle, to contact the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office at 507-328-6800.
