ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A new car-sharing program officially rolls into Rochester — and this time, you get to be behind the wheel.
"Hourcar" is a non-profit company based in the Twin Cities.
Here's how it works: go to the Hourcar website and submit an application to drive. You will need to be at least 18 years old with a clean driving record. Once you're approved, Hourcar will send you a key fob that you will use to scan in and out of the cars.
Rochester has 5 cars you can choose from in different locations throughout the city.
We stopped by the People's Food Co-Op, where you'll find a blue Subaru. In the 3rd Street Ramp, there's a Toyota Prius and Kia Soul.
Other locations include the 2nd Street parking ramp (2nd Street Southeast and 1st Avenue Southeast) and Ramp 6 (East Center Street and 1st Avenue Southeast).
