Rochester man accused of slashing tires on police vehicles

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX47) -- Police said a Rochester man slashed the tires of multiple police vehicles Sunday morning.

According to police, 61-year-old Rodolfo Maldonado is responsible.

He was allegedly severely intoxicated, with a BAC of .335. Authorities said Maldonado had 16 incidents with law enforcement in June.

Two of the vehicles are city-owned, and a third belongs to a police employee. This happened around 11:30 Sunday morning.

Police found Maldonado in a nearby parking ramp. They said he matched the description of the suspect in surveillance video.

Maldonado was taken to Mayo Clinic Saint Marys for intoxication. He is facing a 4th degree criminal charge of damage to property.
