Light snow expected Thursday

With temperatures warming back to around average on Thursday comes the chance for light snow during the mid-morning and early afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 20s with mostly cloudy skies. Light snow will begin during the morning rush hours around 8-9 a.m. Snow showers will linger into the early afternoon with snowfall accumulations around 0-2" for most of the Fox47-viewing area.

Overnight lows will drop into the middle teens with mostly cloudy skies. No snow is expected during the evening commute Thursday.

Snow will be back in the forecast for Friday though! Snow accumulations could reach near 1" in some areas on Friday. Temperatures will be close to the freezing point on Friday and precipitation could fall as a rain/snow mix.

Temperatures drop back into the teens for highs on Saturday with lingering flurries. Overnight lows fall just below 0° heading into Sunday morning. Highs Sunday will remain in the single digits.

There's not much relief from the cold weather next week either! Highs Monday through Wednesday will be in the middle and upper teens.
