ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- While many are waiting until midnight to ring in the New Year, the Minnesota Children's Museum in Rochester celebrated early.
The museum hosted the "Noon Year's Eve" event at the Apache Mall early Tuesday afternoon with some exciting news.
The Children's Museum will be in a new location at Apache Mall, and will open summer 2020 with a new name- Spark.
The celebration at the mall brought families out to dance, participate in activities, and even featured a ball which dropped at noon.
Beth Sherden, Director of the Minnesota Children's Museum said this family celebration is inclusive.
"For kids it is a little harder to stay up, that's why we came up with a concept for Noon Year's Eve," Sherden stated.
The last day for the current location at 1643 North Broadway Street A will be Feb. 16.
