ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The Rochester Police Department have released the name of the 24-year-old man who died in Friday's shooting in Southeast Rochester as Trevor Michael Boysen of Rochester.
Shots fired were reported just after 2 Friday afternoon at the Quarters Apartments in Southeast Rochester.
The suspect is identified as 18-year-old Robert Bryant Salley Jr. of Rochester. He was arrested at 2:51 p.m. just two miles away at the Oak Terrace Estates. He was found with a handgun that investigators believe was used in the shooting.
Salley Jr. is facing a second degree murder charge in addition to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is currently being held at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center.
RPD continues to investigate the case, and hopes to give more information Monday.
