UPDATE: Man suffers life-threatening injury from head-on snowplow crash

UPDATE 2:11 p.m.: NEAR STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (KTTC) - The Minnesota State Patrol reports that the driver who hit a snowplow Monday morning was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The incident report states that 63-year-old Michael Douglas Corcoran of Stewartville was Northbound in a Buick Lesabre on County Road 3.

An Olmsted County snowplow driven by 34-year-old Kyle Michael Meyers of Rochester was Southbound on County Road 3.

State Patrol said Corcoran lost control and collided with the snowplow just before 6 Monday morning.

Corcoran's airbag did not deploy.

Snow and ice covered the road at the time of the crash.

Mayo Clinic said that Corcoran was not listed as of Monday afternoon.

PREVIOUS STORY: Olmsted County deputies responded to a crash involving an Olmsted County snowplow near the intersection of County Road 3 and Highway 30.

One person has been taken to Mayo Clinic-Saint Marys for unknown injuries.

Deputies said the crash happened just before 6 Monday morning.
