Several snow chances this week

An active weather pattern will settle in this week. We'll have several chances for snow through the upcoming weekend.

Light snow will be possible during the evening and overnight hours Monday. This quick-moving system will bring anywhere from 1-3" with isolated 4" in some areas.

Snowfall will end around 2-4 a.m Tuesday morning. Some light flurries could linger into the later morning hours. Snowfall accumulations will stay between 1-3" of snow for most of the KTTC-viewing area. The higher totals should stay to the northeast of the Mississippi River.

Temperatures Tuesday will be on the decline through the afternoon. Temperatures will fall from the 30s during the morning into the middle teens by the lunch hour. Quiet conditions are expected through the afternoon and evening on Tuesday.

Two more rounds of accumulating snowfall will be possible this week. The two best chances will be on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday's snow will bring another couple inches to the area.

The weather-maker for Friday has the highest potential for large snowfall amounts across the area. It's still a little too early in the week to get a good grasp on exact snow totals for Friday in our area. We'll have more updates throughout the week.
