Shots fired in Mason City Saturday night

MASON CITY, Iowa (FOX47) -- Police have confirmed that a bullet flew into someone's car while they were driving on Saturday night.

The alleged victim told police he was stopping his car near 1st and North Madison Avenue. He then started talking to multiple people outside.

According to the victim, that's when someone fired at least one round at the car.

The incident allegedly happened between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Police do not believe there is any danger to the public.

The following morning, police obtained a search warrant for a residence at 16 North Madison Avenue. No one was home when police searched the location.
