SocialICE sees record-setting attendance

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX47) -- Rochester's 2020 SocialICE saw the largest attendance in the event's 12 year history.

According to the Rochester Downtown Alliance, more than 67,500 people attended the event and made an estimated economic impact on Rochester of $2,489,630.84.

Organizers said the ideal weather and new activities helped boost attendance.

This year's SocialICE featured curling, new food, drinks and snow yoga.

"All the long hours, and hard work by everyone involved in SocialICE did not go unnoticed and it's rewarding to see so many people happy and embracing the event," RDA director Monika Kopet said in a news release.
