ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX47) -- SocialICE has a special meaning for a Stewartville couple as it was the site of their engagement.
Tony Heintz and Joan Kaartinen were both widowed and thought they would never find love again.
Feb. 9, 2019 changed all of that after they had their first date at SocialICE. They met online and they connected instantly.
"I almost didn't want to go," Kaartinen said. "But then I met him and there was the 'boom,' I just knew he was the one."
After spending nearly everyday together since, Heintz knew that he wanted to take their relationship to the next level and propose to Kaartinen at SocialICE 2020.
He chose the selfie-booth in the igloo to ensure the moment would be captured.
I was like how am I going to get someone to take a picture of us and then I saw the photo kiosk and I was like if I work this out it will be perfect, and it worked absolutely perfect" said Heintz.
"He was worried that there wasn't going to be evidence," said Kaartinen.
The two say they have started thinking about wedding plans but want to keep those under wraps for now. They say they look forward to a long life together.
