SWAT teams surround Waseca home, apprehend man who allegedly fired gunshots

WASECA, Minn. (FOX47) -- SWAT teams surrounded a Waseca home and arrested a man accused of firing two gunshots.

Waseca Police said 39-year-old David Huff fired a gun twice inside a home in the 500 Block of 7th Avenue SE around 6:20 p.m. on Monday.

According to police, a caller who had been in the house said Huff was using meth and hallucinating.

Waseca Police, Waseca County Sheriff's deputies, New Richland Police and Janesville Police all responded to the house. Multiple SWAT teams were called in as well.

After negotiations, Huff finally exited the house and was arrested around 11:20 p.m. That was five hours after the shots were allegedly fired.

There were firearms, ammunition, and meth inside the home, according to Waseca Police.

Huff is currently being held in Waseca County Jail.
