Very light, brief showers will move into the region this evening before drying out for most of Friday. Clouds will stick around but we'll near the 50-degree mark in the afternoon. Our next system will start to move in Friday night, making for a wet Saturday.
This is a pretty strong low-pressure system, bringing widespread rain for most of Saturday. We could see a few thunderstorms in the afternoon, but all the severe weather will be staying well to our south.
Rain will last into Sunday morning as the system moves out. I think higher accumulations will be largely to our west, but areas near Albert Lea and Owatonna could see up to three-quarters of an inch of rain by Sunday afternoon. The rest of us will most likely see between a quarter and a half-inch of rainfall.
After that large system, we're looking dry for all of next week! Sunshine and warm temperatures return, and temperatures could edge into the upper 50's by midweek.
