A wet Memorial weekend is ahead of us, so keep your umbrella handy but you may not need to cancel all of your outdoor plans quite yet.
Severe weather will largely stay to our south and west both Saturday and Sunday, though a few far western counties do have a marginal risk on Sunday.
Scattered showers will begin late tonight, extending through the majority of Saturday. However these will be scattered so I don't think the entire day will be wet. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon before the system moves out.
We'll dry out Saturday evening, our next system holding off until later on Sunday. So it looks like Sunday will be the driest day of the weekend at this point.
Once that next system moves in Sunday evening, we could see some heavier rainfall overnight into Monday with some thunderstorms possible as well. Rainfall should wrap up temporarily for a dry start on Monday before another wave moves through in the late afternoon and evening.
