UPDATE: Life-threatening injuries in Highway 14 crash

UPDATE 8:45 P.M.: The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) says an 84-year-old Byron man suffered life-threatening injuries in Tuesday afternoon's crash.

MSP says he was going north on 60th Avenue NW in a 2011 Chevy Equinox just after 3 p.m. He collided with a semi-truck going east on Highway 14.

The man was taken to Mayo Clinic Saint Marys. The 21-year-old semi driver was not injured.

NEAR ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- First responders called the Mayo One helicopter Tuesday for a crash on Highway 14 about 3:30 p.m.

Authorities on the scene tell FOX 47 they think an SUV may have been trying to turn right when it collided with a semi truck.

This was near the intersection with 60th Avenue NW, also known as County Road 104.

The SUV rolled onto its side into the ditch.

Officials have not reported on the extent of any injuries from this crash.
