Scattered thunderstorms today
A cold front is moving through the region today, producing scattered thunderstorms across the Upper Mississippi Valley to start the workweek. We'll have a few strong storms in the early morning hours with scattered storms eventually thinning out during the morning commute, allowing sunshine to peeks through the clouds at times. After our early morning thunderstorms, we'll get a break from rain until after 9:30 when a complex of scattered, non-severe thunderstorms rumbles in from the west, impacting the area until just after lunchtime. High temperatures today will be in the mid-70s with a slight northwest breeze that will work to draw in drier, less humid air by this afternoon.
A pleasant Tuesday
High pressure from the Plains will settle into the area for Tuesday, bringing quiet sunshine and seasonably warm weather. High temperatures tomorrow will be in the lower 80s with a light southwest breeze and fairly comfortable humidity levels.
Isolated midweek storms
A couple of disturbances will slide into the region for the middle part of the week, triggering isolated thunderstorms late Wednesday and for parts of Thursday. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s with a little more humidity building into the area.
Scattered storms, more humidity later this week
A few more showers and thunderstorms will develop Friday and Saturday as a cold front approaches from the west. Humidity will continue to build in with seasonably warm temperatures in the lower 80s expected.
A few leftover showers and thunderstorms will be possible early Sunday behind the weekend cold front with plenty of sunshine expected for the majority of the day. High temperatures will be near the 80-degree mark with slightly lower humidity levels in the air.
